My pastry final was today and I rrrrrrocked it! I totally expected my teacher to fall on the floor and worship at my feet.
"Oh, Kristi. Please impart your pastry wisdom to me. I am not worthy!"
Ok, not really, but he said nice job and that it tasted good.
I made a deconstructed eclair with chocolate sauce and a tuille cookie. The bottom layer is pate choux, the middle is pastry cream, and the top is whipped cream. It's basically a scaled down version of the giant eclair my family makes.
I made everything on the plate by hand except the strawberry. I'm good, but not that good. I think I got a pretty good grade on it.
