One time when I was sewing at school, I broke a needle and just switched it with the machine next to me. I watched a girl deal with my mess as I kept sewing. Horrible, right?

Reunion

Christmas time 2008

Tonight is the night that we will be reunited! I think this picture marks the last time we were all together.

I'm excited to see my friends again that I haven't seen in such a long time. We always laugh when we're together. Stay tuned for photo documentation, as I'm sure that the camera will be flashing tonight :)

Domestic Diva

I guess I can finally post about some of the clothes I made towards the end of the semester. The first being my blessing gown that I was literally working on until moments before it was due. Thoughts?

It's made out of sheer and regular tricot material. I decided to forgo the ruffly, lacey, super long number in favor of something simpler and just plain sweet. I worked ridiculously hard on this dress and am super proud of it!


Next, my coat. This project actually came together pretty quickly. I used a quilted black fabric for the outer layer, and yellow fleece for the lining. It's really quite cute!

This project was especially great because I was one of, if not the first, ones done. This was my first sewing foray ever and naturally I was slower than the other girls in my class, but I managed to knock this project out!

L-A-Z-Y

The infrequent postage isn't really due to a lack of anything to talk about. I have lots of things going through my mind, but I've found as of late that I'm just feeling slightly lazy.

I have about a month off of school, too short a time to go out and find a job, but long enough that you get sick of being at home all the time. I've been thinking about a couple projects I can do for the time I'm home. I'll keep you posted!

Jo Bros!!!!

Katie, her old roommate Stevie, and I are fabulously lucky as we get to attend the Jonas Brothers concert tomorrow night at the Save Mart Center. Supposedly we have great seats too!

I'm super stoked. I'm listening to all their songs right now to get in the groove.

In preparation for tomorrow, I am going to try to write a paragraph using titles of some of their songs,

I have to HOLD ON just A LITTLE BIT LONGER, then I will be MUCH BETTER because I will be at the concert. I'm BURNIN UP with excitement thinking about it but THAT'S JUST THE WAY WE ROLL. We'll be screaming into YEAR 3000, you'll see no S.OS. here, just an invitation to FLY WITH ME.

I'm such a nerd, I know.:)

Hiatus

Sorry about the break folks. I took a little time of from life you might say. I just finished school last week and felt a little burnt out. I haven't done much since I got home, but it'd been nice not having to really worry about anything.

Over the next couple days I will try and catch up on the things that I didn't get to blog about. I finished my blessing dress and in the mean time made a coat! It's super cute, and it was fairly simple!!


Grades came out on Wednesday, and I'm pretty happy with them. Not too bad :)
